Abstract
Des travaux récents en sociologie de la connaissance scientifique nous amènent à penser que l'organisation existe dans les processus d'interprétation de ses membres. Une théorie de la communication est présentée qui considère le processus communicationnel comme une traduction ayant deux facettes, du texte à la conversation et de la conversation au texte. En nous servant de cette théorie comme base, une conception de formes complexes et étendues d'organisation est développée qui démontre que le cycle texte-conversation sous-tend un processus complexe de mise en réseau à partir duquel l'identité de l'organisation émerge, et la structuration sociale se produit, résultant dans la division du travail et dans la coordination. Les implications de cette théorie pour la recherche sont brièvement examinées.
