Abstract
La aparición de la moneda fue un gran avance para los intercambios de bienes y trabajos, representando una realidad de gran utilidad para los países de todo el mundo. Parece complicado asignarle un valor a un papel, billete o una moneda metálica que represente el coste que se les puede dar a las cosas. Sin embargo, la historia nos ha demostrado que es imperante dicha necesidad cambiaria. El dinero ha tenido grandes modificaciones y se ha adaptado a las necesidades de los países. Ante tal acontecimiento aparece la moneda digital y las llamadas criptomonedas. Hay que distinguir entre la digitalización de la moneda que se maneja por medios tecnológicos y es respaldada por una autoridad financiera central, y las criptomonedas, que se rigen bajo un algoritmo matemático, y no cuentan con dicho respaldo, representando una especie muy particular que se desarrolla por distintos medios.
