Abstract
« Il n’y a rien à voir ». Une plante au plateau est un non-événement. Son temps est autre, plus long ou plus court que le temps humain ; sa mobilité et sa capacité transformatrice, imperceptibles à l’oeil nu. La plante, parent pauvre de l’objet scénique et de la marionnette, déçoit par sa difficulté à rentrer dans le champ du spectaculaire. Comment, dès lors, tâcher de figurer et représenter le vivant végétal en scène ? Comment rendre compte de ce corps alter, ainsi que de son langage chorégraphique et plastique singulier ? Après avoir décrit la restitution d’un processus de recherche-création qui a conduit à la fabrication d’une bardane hybridée et robotisée pour la création de la pièce Bardane et moi (2022), l’article ouvre sur une typologie des modes de représentation du vivant végétal dans deux spectacles contemporains de théâtre et de danse. La plante, en co-présence avec d’autres vivants, y est présentée comme partie prenante d’un dialogue discursif, somatique, et/ou sensible qui fait co-exister corps végétal et corps de l’interprète, de plain-pied dans une relation, tour à tour nourrie de rapports de soin, de compétitivité, de domination, d’exploitation ou d’attention. À travers l’examen de ces études de cas, nous verrons comment le modèle de la relation permet de dépasser la question de l’image théâtrale.
