Abstract
Le Protecteur du citoyen traite des plaintes et des signalements qui visent autant les ministères et les organismes du Québec, que le réseau public des services de santé et des services sociaux et les services correctionnels. Il intervient aussi en matière d’intégrité publique sur la base de divulgations d’actes répréhensibles. Depuis peu, il assure le suivi de la mise en œuvre des appels à l’action d’une commission d’enquête majeure concernant les droits des personnes autochtones dans leurs relations avec des services publics québécois.La diversité des mandats et des actions compromet-elle le fil conducteur qui donne tout son sens à la mission du Protecteur du citoyen ? Un seul organisme peut-il assumer un tel élargissement de son rôle initial ? Où fusionnent les différents volets de son action ?
