This paper explores the influence of unsupported sleepers on the interaction between wheels and rails in railway systems.Sleepers, also known as ties, play a crucial role in providing support and stability to the rail infrastructure.However, when sleepers become unsupported or deteriorate, they can significantly impact the dynamic behavior of trains and tracks.Through a combination of analytical modeling and numerical simulations, this study investigates the effects of unsupported sleepers on various aspects of wheelrail interaction forces.The findings highlight the importance of proactive maintenance strategies to address sleeper support issues and maintain the reliability of railway networks.
