Abstract
Prof. Paresh Chandra (“P. C.”) Sen, professor emeritus in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario, Canada, passed away in Kingston on 22 November 2023, at the age of 85 (<xref ref-type="fig" rid="fig1" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Figure 1</xref>). Dr. Sen was born in 1938 in Chittagong, a city in present Bangladesh, where he grew up as an orphan, eventually moving to India to attend the University of Calcutta. He moved to Canada to pursue graduate study at the University of Toronto, where he earned his Ph.D. in 1967. He joined Queen’s University as a faculty member that year and made Kingston his home for the next 56 years. For all these years, he remained affiliated with the Queen’s university, building a reputation as a leader, visionary, educator, and mentor.
