Abstract
the University of Toronto occupies a position of particular interest and affection for Milton scholars and friends.It was entirely appropriate, therefore, that the Thirteenth International Milton Symposium took place in Victoria College, the oldest college in the university.Nestled amidst beautiful green spaces and the watchful eye of the life-size bronze statue of Northrop Frye, this five-day conference was indeed a much-anticipated event as a post-Covid gathering.Seeing the crowd of Milton colleagues, students, and friends convening in person again sparked the excitement of all involved, as noted in John Rogers's friendly inaugural remarks.
