Abstract
Les relations internationales sont un objet sociologique comme les autres. À la différence des pères fondateurs de la discipline outre-Manche et outre-Atlantique, très attachés à une ligne de séparation entre les affaires du dedans (recherche de la vie bonne) et les affaires du dehors (recherche de la survie), Guillaume Devin n’entend pas embrasser une lecture théorique figée de la réalité internationale, mais à ouvrir les manières de la saisir et ce, en mobilisant une pluralité de références sociologiques, mais aussi au-delà. L’objet de cet article sera de mettre en relief les singularités de ce geste scientifique en prenant en considération l’ensemble des disciplines connexes qui lui ont servi en partie de matrices (droit, histoire) et en insistant sur quelques prolongements et enseignements méthodologiques de ce geste.
