A new iron( iii ) complex (CH 3 ) 2 NH 2 [Fe(phen)Cl 4 ] (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) is prepared and characterized via different techniques. It shows a paramagnetic behavior and in vitro antibacterial activity against antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
