Penerapan Gema Cermat Terhadap UKS Sekolah Boarding di Wilayah Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang

Abstract
ABSTRAK Dalam rangka percepatan upaya peningkatan pengetahuan, kesadaran, kepedulian, dan keterampilan masyarakat mengenai penggunaan obat secara rasional, dilaksanakan program Gerakan Masyarakat Cerdas Menggunakan Obat (GEMA CERMAT) yang merupakan wadah penggerakan penggunaan obat rasional dan program terkait lain yang berkesinambungan dengan melibatkan lintas sektor dan pemangku kepentingan terkait. Gerakan ini telah dicanangkan oleh Menteri Kesehatan RI pada tanggal 13 November 2015 dan ditetapkan melalui Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan RI Nomor HK.02.02/Menkes/427/2015 tentang Gerakan Masyarakat Cerdas Menggunakan Obat. Pelaksanaan Gema Cermat perlu diterapkan agar tidak terjadi kesalahan penggunaan obat yang dapat berakibat fatal bagi kesehatan tubuh. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guru, pengurus UKS dan siwa-siswi Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dengan sosialisai dan memberikan pelatihan keterampilan memilih obat untuk swamedikasi sehingga menjadi penggerak mengenai penggunaan obat rasional sebagai wujud dari Program Gema Cermat di sekolah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan oleh dosen jurusan farmasi dan dosen jurusan kesehatan gigi dengan lamanya pelaksanaan selama 3 bulan pada tahun 2023. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan adalah model pemberdayaan masyarakat partisipatif. Peningkatan pengetahuan para guru, pengurus UKS dan siswa-siswi SMA Boarding School di wilayah Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang tentang macam-macam obat, bentuk sediaan obat, cara penggunaan obat, cara menyimpan dan membuang obat yang sudah tidak dipakai serta mampu menerapkan dan mendampingi masyarakat terutama tentang bagaimana Mendapatkan, Menggunakan, Menyimpan dan Membuang Obat dengan Baik dan Benar. Melalui Gema Cermat ini, guru, pengurus UKS dan siswa dapat mengetahui macam-macam obat, cara penggunaan, penyimpanan serta pembuangan obat dengan baik dan benar. Kata Kunci: Gema Cermat, UKS, Boarding School ABSTRACT In order to accelerate efforts to increase public knowledge, awareness, concern and skills regarding the rational use of drugs, the Smart Community Movement for Using Drugs (GEMA CERMAT) program is being implemented which is a forum for mobilizing the rational use of drugs and other related programs that are sustainable by involving cross-border related sectors and stakeholders. This movement was launched by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia on November 13 2015 and was designated through the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.02.02/Menkes/427/2015 concerning the Movement for Smart People Using Medicine. The implementation of Careful Gema needs to be implemented so that there are no errors in drug use which can have fatal consequences for the body's health. This Community Service activity is to increase the knowledge of teachers, UKS administrators and High School (SMA) students by socializing and providing training on skills in choosing drugs for self-medication so that they become a driving force regarding rational drug use as a form of the Gema Cermat Program in schools. This activity is carried out by lecturers in the pharmacy department and lecturers in the dental health department with a duration of 3 months in 2023. The method that will be used to increase knowledge is the participatory community empowerment model. Increased knowledge of teachers, UKS administrators and high school boarding school students in the Aceh Tamiang Regency area about various types of drugs, drug dosage forms, how to use drugs, how to store and dispose of unused drugs and being able to apply and assist the community especially about how to Obtain, Use, Store and Dispose of Medicines Properly and Correctly. Through Gema Cermat, teachers, UKS administrators and students can find out about various types of medicines, how to use, store and dispose of medicines properly and correctly.
