Abstract
O Brasil enfrenta uma significativa dependência da importação de fertilizantes minerais, essenciais para a produção agrícola. Os recentes aumentos nos preços desses insumos, tanto a nível internacional quanto nacional, têm gerado preocupações no setor agrícola, especialmente em solos tropicais como os brasileiros, que já apresentam limitações para o cultivo. A alta dependência de importação expõe a agricultura brasileira a flutuações nos preços globais desses fertilizantes. Diante desse cenário, alternativas de nutrição de plantas, como adubação verde e bioinsumos, têm ganhado destaque, oferecendo opções para aumentar a produtividade agrícola. No entanto, apesar das inovações, a alta dos preços dos fertilizantes minerais continua sendo uma preocupação para o setor. O estudo propõe analisar o impacto de choques nos preços desses insumos na produção agrícola brasileira, buscando entender como a variação dos custos dos fertilizantes afeta a quantidade e a dinâmica da produção agrícola, tanto a curto quanto a longo prazo, além de examinar especificamente os efeitos na produção de soja, um dos principais produtos agrícolas do país.
