Abstract
Kaszel przewlekły jest jednym z najczęściej zgłaszanych objawów przez dzieci.Lekarze rodzinni skupiają się z reguły na uchwytnych przyczynach, dających możliwość postępowania diagnostyczno-leczniczego z dostosowanym algorytmem.Nie zawsze jednak diagnoza kaszlu jest prosta.Czasem może on mieć podłoże psychogenne.Zgodnie z przyjętą definicją przewlekły kaszel psychogenny to rodzaj przewlekłego kaszlu, opornego na leczenie, bez uchwytnej etiologii somatycznej.W poniższym artykule przedstawiono przypadek 10-letniego chłopca, który trafił do gabinetu lekarza psychiatry dzieci i młodzieży po wyczerpaniu ścieżek diagnostyki somatycznej przez lekarza POZ.Kaszel u pacjenta pojawiał się w sytuacjach dużego stresu i niespełniania jego oczekiwań przez rodziców.Dla głębszej analizy problemu nakreślono strukturę systemu rodzinnego i osobowości chłopca.Przedstawiono też postępowanie w przypadku ustalenia psychogennej etiologii zaburzenia.
