Abstract
Este texto segue os meandros duma poesia que, desde o início, aparece mergulhada no problema poético da dramatização do sujeito lírico. Tal atitude possibilita ao poeta representar o eu multifacetado numa obra cuja unidade fragmentada é marcada pela instabilidade intencional. Carlos Drummond de Andrade traz para seus poemas a figura do poeta, apresentando-a como um eu que, por refletir sobre a instância subjetiva na lírica, acaba refletindo, também, sobre o mundo. Os poemas surgem como resultado de crises, conflitos e contrapontos estéticos, que serão abordados neste ensaio
