Abstract
Les vitrines de librairie composent-elles des natures mortes modernes ? Telle est l’hypothèse formulée dans cet article qui s’attache à mettre en relation un certain régime de la littérature et un nouveau rapport au livre chez les lecteurs comme chez les auteurs. Le parcours est résolument dix-neuviémiste et s’étend de Balzac à Catulle Mendès en passant par les Goncourt et Zola.
