Abstract

How to ensure reliable energy supply and provide universal and affordable access while fighting climate change? Is the exclusive use of renewable sources the solution or is it better to maintain a diverse energy mix? This thesis uses diversity as a key indicator in the analysis of the energy trilemma using a new econometric model. The research reveals the importance of using an inclusive approach and the pertinence of the new model developed after observing, for the selected country and the period studied, thought-provokingchanges in the results of the individual and joint analyses, both in the importance and in the sign of this indicator.
