Abstract
Este artigo apresenta resultados de pesquisa envolvendo vídeos e entrevistas voltados para o funk ostentação disponibilizados na plataforma YouTube em um momento de maior profusão do subgênero musical no cenário nacional (2011-2015). Coube aqui traçar algumas relações entre os discursos proferidos pelos jovens funkeiros, a partir de suas histórias de vida, e o contexto mais geral de mudanças socioeconômicas daquele período, destacadamente, a expansão do mercado de consumo dentro das periferias brasileiras durante governos do Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT). Foi aplicado o método da Análise Interpretativa de Conteúdo (AIC) sobre um corpus envolvendo vídeos com entrevistas no YouTube de MCs de maior projeção midiática dentro desse circuito musical, destacadamente, o produtor e empresário Konrad Dantas. Autores como Zigmunt Bauman, Pierre Bourdieu, Richard Sennett, Pierre Dardot e Christian Laval, Verónica Gago, Vander Casaqui e Mayka Castellano, entre outros, colaboram para a reflexão teórica. A partir de um corpus geral envolvendo 52 entrevistas, concluiu-se que tanto KondZilla quanto os seis MCs narravam uma história de ascensão social movida por uma trajetória de esforço e de sucesso calcada em discursos caracterizados pela lógica individualista e pelo fenômeno do empreendedorismo de si.
