Abstract
Recebi uma estudante de 15 anos, em 2017, com um sintoma: lavava as mãos sistematicamente. O sintoma que a envergonhava e feria fisicamente, era repetido muitas vezes ao dia e vinha carregado de energia simbólica que o sujeito que o reproduzia não dava conta de interpretar. Neste capítulo verificamos o caso Maya, uma garota sul coreana que desenvolveu um sintoma cerimonial compulsivo. Para nossa verificação, iniciaremos com a demonstração de como o caso se apresentou, descrevendo as sessões iniciais, depois, observando como a analisanda reconheceu o espaço da análise, consecutivamente; abordando os diálogos com a família, pai e mãe, e, posteriormente, como o sujeito deu conta de observar o empréstimo simbólico que fez do desejo original recalcado à simbolização do gesto de lavar as mãos, arrefecendo o sintoma. Finalizamos nossa observação quando Maya precisou interromper o processo de análise em função do início da pandemia de Coronavírus/19.
