Abstract
Este artigo pretende investigar o modo como o Material Rioeduca de Língua Portuguesa do 8º ano para o 1º semestre de 2023 se compromete com a Lei nº 10.639/2003 e com as Diretrizes Curriculares para a Educação das Relações Étnico-Raciais e para o Ensino de História e Cultura Afro-Brasileira e Africana, a partir de atividades propostas com base em dois textos referentes ao escritor guineense Eliseu Banori. A investigação se dá sob a perspectiva de política linguística definida por Rajagopalan (2013), considerando também a concepção de língua/linguagem de Valentin Volóchinov (2019) e a compreensão de como ela atua na educação, pela ótica de Paulo Freire em Política e educação (2022). A análise também parte da obra A Escola não é uma empresa, de Christian Laval (2004), a fim de sinalizar a presença da lógica neoliberal na gestão da educação carioca para elaboração do material didático analisado.
