Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Phased array antennas (PAAs) are radiating structures composed of multiple antenna elements usually disposed in one- or two-dimension configurations, which are individually and coherently fed by means of either variable phase or true time delay (TTD) control elements, in order to scan a complex radiation pattern to a given angular direction in space. PAAs are mainly employed in radar and radio-frequency communication systems where there is a need to produce a directive beam that can be scanned in response to an input control signal. This chapter provides a comprehensive treatment of the use of microwave photonics subsystems and technologies in the implementation of the beamforming network in PAA structures. It deals with broadband optical beamforming networks where the control elements are implemented by optical TTDs. The chapter describes the work reported based on several technologies such as integrated ring resonators, semiconductor optical amplifiers, and stimulated Brillouin scattering in optical fibers.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
