Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This chapter discusses recent advances in novel optoelectronic oscillators (OEOs). It focuses on a model for analyzing the nonlinear dynamic behavior of OEOs, introduces single-frequency microwave signal generation using a parity-time (PT)-symmetric OEO, and discusses novel OEOs that are capable of producing complex microwave waveforms, including novel Fourier domain mode-locked OEO, optoelectronic parametric oscillator, and broadband random OEO. In these OEOs, novel mode control methods have been adopted to produce different microwave waveforms, such as chirped signal generation using Fourier domain mode-locking, stable multi-mode oscillation based on a nonlinear parametric process, and random oscillation based on random scattering. PT symmetry fundamentally exploits the fact that non-Hermitian operators can exhibit real eigenvalues associated with nonorthogonal eigenstates. The chapter discusses recent advances in integrated OEOs, which have been fabricated in InP, silicon, and other platforms with compact size and low power consumption.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
