Abstract
La colonisation de l’Afrique au 19e siècle engendre la domination et l’exploitation exacerbées des "indigènes" et de leurs territoires par les grandes puissances européennes. L’Allemagne fait partie des nations à avoir pris possession d’une partie du territoire africain et elle est longtemps pointée du doigt comme une nation particulièrement violente et cruelle envers ses populations colonisées. Bien que l’aventure coloniale allemande ait été brève, celle-ci fut touts aussi unique que banale. Unique, car elle laissa une marque indélébile sur les sociétés qu’elle a affectées par sa brutalité et sa fin abrupte, mais banale puisque celle-ci s’inscrit parfaitement dans l’histoire de la colonisation du territoire africain par les grandes puissances européennes.
