Abstract
Il presente contributo desidera offrire spunti di riflessione sugli strumenti che la ricerca in architettura può adoperare nello studio del territorio alpino. Il lavoro è parte di una tesi di dottorato in architettura attualmente in corso intitolata La construction d’un territoire pour le tourisme de masse. Le cas des Alpes franco-italiennes dans l’après – Seconde Guerre mondiale. La ricerca indaga, con una prospettiva transfrontaliera, la costruzione di sistemi di infrastrutture per il turismo di massa nei siti montani d’alta quota. Ci interessiamo in particolare al periodo 1960-1975, che ha visto l’affermazione e la crisi di un modello di pianificazione chiamato in Francia station intégrée. Inizialmente, ripercorreremo le principali idee che hanno animato l’interesse per lo studio dell’architettura di montagna negli ultimi anni. In seguito, verranno proposte nuove possibilità di lettura, alla luce delle problematiche attuali delle regioni alpine d’alta quota.
