Abstract
Les technologies numériques sont non seulement colonialistes dans leurs pratiques, mais le sont aussi dans leur création et leur conception. Des propositions provenant de toutes les régions et de toutes les écoles politiques ont été mises en œuvre dans le monde entier pour contrecarrer les effets de la colonialité numérique (par exemple, les grandes sociétés technologiques en Chine, le coup de pouce des organisations internationales pour mettre fin aux inégalités sociales dans le monde au moyen de la numérisation, le rejet des technologies numériques, entre autres), mais on note encore une absence de manières décolonisées et autochtones de créer les technologies numériques.
 Ce court article, basé sur ma recherche doctorale, a donc pour but de formuler des principes de conception des technologies numériques décolonisatrices par le récit de la mise sur pied de la plateforme Indigenous Friends (Indigenous Friends Platform - IFP) destinée aux jeunes Autochtones citadins de l'Université York, à Tkaronto, au Canada.
