Abstract
Sulawesi Utara merupakan salah satu provinsi yang akan diperhatikan lebih oleh pemerintah karena di dalamnya terdapat daerah yang akan dijadikan metropolitan baru, yaitu Wilayah Metropolitan Manado yang terdiri dari 3 kota/kabupaten terkait yaitu Kota Manado, Kota Bitung, dan Kabupaten Minahasa Utara. Perlunya mengetahui potensi yang dimiliki oleh Wilayah Metropolitan Manado melalui pendekatan sektor unggulan. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah location quontient untuk mengetahui sektor unggulan serta dynamic location quotient untuk mengetahui potensi sektor unggulan. Data yang digunakan adalah PDRB atas harga konstan dan laju pertumbuhan Provinsi Sulawesi Utara tahun 2014-2018. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa Wilayah Metropolitan Manado memiliki sektor unggulan dan potensi sektor unggulan yang berbeda.
