Abstract
Objetivo: avaliar o desenvolvimento motor e outros aspectos de saúde integral de uma criança com agenesia sacral. Metodologia: trata-se de um relato de caso, de caráter descritivo, com uma abordagem quantitativa e transversal. Os instrumentos utilizados foram uma ficha de avaliação sociodemográfica e a Escala Alberta. Essa pesquisa foi submetida ao Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da UEPB e foi aprovada com o número CAAE: 74237223.1.0000.5187. Resultados: Criança avaliada aos 7 meses de vida. Recebeu o diagnóstico de síndrome de regressão caudal tipo II, ou agenesia sacral, aos 5 meses. Na avaliação fisioterapêutica, observou-se hipotonia e hipotrofia dos MMII, além de atraso do DNPM, de acordo com a escala Alberta (escore total 27, percentil <10). A mãe relata irritabilidade, distúrbio do sono e constipação intestinal severa. Conclusão: O registro científico de casos de doenças raras é importante para trazer respaldo científico para profissionais que se deparam com casos semelhantes em sua rotina clínica. O paciente registrado através deste relato de caso é uma criança que tem diversos aspectos de sua saúde afetados pela presença da agenesia sacral, marcadamente o desenvolvimento motor e a função intestinal.
