Abstract
The poet of Quebec Michaël La Chance wrote a long poem inspired to the ascent of the Mount Ventoux by Petrarch; in the article we propose an interdisciplinary, comparative study of the use of disorientation and alienation effect within the literary representation of the Mount Ventoux over the centuries. We analyse at the same time the relapses and metamorphoses of the archetype of Petrarch in the work of La Chance
