Abstrak: Artikel ini mengkaji khotbah ekspositori wujud kemestian dalam ibadah Kristen yang mewartakan Firman Allah di tengah-tengah jemaat masa kini. Artikel ini fokus pada urgensi khotbah ekspositori dalam mewartakan Firman bagi kemuliaan Tuhan ditengah-tengah jemaat masa kini, karena pengkhotbah wajib berkomitmen mewartakan atau mengekspos kebenaran Firman Allah dalam satu runtun dari tema, pokok-pokok besar dan bagian yang kecil berpangkal dan berintegrasi dari teks Alkitab. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian artikel ini bersifat deskriptif-evaluatif tentang khotbah ekspositori dan bagaimana pengkhotbah mengimplementasikan dan mampu merekonstruksi dalam khotbah ekspositori yang mewartakan Firman bagi kemuliaan Tuhan di tengah-tengah jemaat masa kini. Kajian ini memperoleh hasil bahwa khotbah ekspositori adalah khotbah yang mewartkan Firman bagi kemuliaaan Tuhan di tengah-tengah jemaat masa kini. Dalam hal ini diperlukan pemahaman para pengkhotbah ekspositori yang terus berupaya mempersiapkan dan dalam penyampainnya, meskipuan khotbah ekspositori juga memiliki kelemahan dan kekurangan, namun pengkhotbah ekspositori dalam mewartakan atau mengekspos kebenaran Firman senantiasa dan terus-menerus konsisten mewartakan Firman bagi kemuliaan Tuhan di tengah-tengah jemaat masa kini.
