Abstract
L’expression « écologie politique » ne désigne pas tant un positionnement politique dans l’ordre des débats publics, mais un spectre politique avec sa gauche et sa droite. Les positions qui en découlent reposent de manières variées sur deux grands partis pris philosophiques. Tendanciellement : fait-on partie de la nature ou en dispose-t-on à sa convenance ? En sous-main, ces considérations politiques tiennent d’un engagement de nature théologique trouvant sa genèse au xviiie siècle, à l’époque où les tenants de « l’économie de la nature » tels que Carl von Linné et Gilbert White – les Arcadiens – contemplaient le monde comme l’oeuvre du Souverain créateur, et les Impériaux voyaient en lui une oeuvre inaboutie et chaotique, que Dieu leur avait donné la mission d’organiser et de parachever.
