Depuis quelques décennies, la position de l’être humain dans le cosmos et son rapport à la nature sont de plus en plus au coeur des interrogations. Adolphe Gesché propose, à travers sa théologie du cosmos, une nouvelle manière d’habiter le monde. Cette théologie du cosmos invite à établir un équilibre harmonieux entre les trois régions théologiques qui sont Dieu, l’être humain et le cosmos. Il estime que cette théologie est nécessaire et urgente à l’heure actuelle. Sa pertinence et sa particularité se trouveraient dans la manière dont Gesché présente l’éthique du cosmos qui s’enracine dans la dogmatique ; mais aussi l’auteur met en évidence les liens qui pourraient exister entre la théologie du cosmos et la sacramentaire ainsi que la sotériologie. La théologie du cosmos présente un itinéraire qui va de la création à la rédemption en passant par l’éthique et la sacramentaire en offrant un regard nouveau sur ces divers aspects de la théologie.
