Abstract
C'est d'abord avec un certain amusement qu'on voit les ditions sociales nous offrir l'oeuvre d'un chan celier d'Henry VIII excut du fait de ses convictions religieuses et canonis par l'glise de Rome1. Pourtant, cette parution se comprend fort bien, et pas seulement cause de la surprenante modernit des considrations sociales et conomiques de Thomas More qui, Mme Bottigelli-Tisserand le souligne plusieurs reprises (mais pas toujours trs adroitement2), se rapproche parfois de la pense marxiste.
