Il est courant en philosophie de faire usage de cas «casse-tête» (puzzle cases) dans le but de met tre à l'épreuve la logique interne de certains con cepts théoriques particulièrement nébuleux.Un cas «casse-tête» typique implique généralement une situation expérimentale fictive plausible, mais non-réalisable pour des raisons d'ordre stricte ment moral et pratique.Nous désirons porter ici à l'attention du lecteur deux cas «casse-tête» spéci fiques originellement utilisés par plusieurs philo sophes contemporains1 ayant tenté avec succès de confronter la notion d'«identité personnelle» aux subtilités de la réalité neuropsychologique.
