Abstract
Le chaos, le conflit muet, et l'impossibilité de communiquer et de comprendre figurent parmi les thèmes centraux de la littérature et de la culture post-modernistes.Dans cet essai, j'accorderai ces thèmes d'un point de vue herméneutique, offrant ce que j'appelle une reformulation de l'alternative gadamérienne au post-modernisme.Je commencerai par préciser ce que j'entends par ce titre.D'abord, en ce qui concerne mon utilisation du terme reformulation: Dire que cet essai consiste en une reformulation de ce que Gadamer a dit sur le post-modernisme impliquerait qu'il ait effectivement écrit sur ce sujet.A la vérité, il n'a jamais traité explicitement du post-modernisme dans ses publica tions.Mais je crois que l'œuvre de Gadamer nous permet de déduire aisément sa position par rapport à la littérature et à la culture post-modernistes, ou mieux, par rapport à l'esprit du post-modernisme.C'est donc en ce sens que je vais reformuler la
