Les formations à l’enseignement au Québec constituent un enjeu important et probablement un atout majeur pour réguler la pénurie de main-d’oeuvre qualifiée. Dans cette contribution, nous abordons le phénomène de pénurie en nous intéressant à l’attractivité de la profession et des programmes de formation à l’enseignement. Nous présentons quelques premiers résultats d’une enquête par questionnaire de grande envergure à laquelle ont participé 2912 étudiant.es en enseignement au Québec. Nous nous centrons ici sur certaines caractéristiques sociodémographiques de ces publics et sur les raisons de leur choix professionnel, afin de mieux comprendre l’attractivité des formations à l’enseignement.
