Abstract
This work investigates the performance of ladder-type Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filters employing modified Interdigital Transducer (IDT) configurations that can produce resonance with different electromechanical coupling coefficients. By altering the ratio of positive and negative fingers in SAW resonators, discrete coupling coefficient levels can be achieved. Such IDT geometries can impact filter selectivity and asymmetry, providing greater flexibility for different filter specifications.
