Abstract
La recherche et la formation ont une responsabilité dans la construction de nouveaux territoires de la participation pour et par la société civile. Une nouvelle ingénierie territoriale se dessine. À travers plusieurs exemples, nous mettrons en évidence le tournant qui est en train de s’opérer dans la façon de faire de la recherche participative. En effet, les formes de la participation de la société civile se diversifient. Les procédures institutionnelles ont engendré une mobilisation citoyenne qui est à même de prendre en charge ses propres projets. Ces nouveaux territoires de la participation font moins appel aux rapports de pouvoir, comme dans les premiers temps de la participation citoyenne aux mécanismes institutionnalisés de gouvernance et d’aménagement des territoires. Ce tournant actuel est analysé au prisme des communs, des mécanismes de coopération et de gouvernance territoriale collaborative ainsi que de la coexistence des modèles.
