Abstract
Trata-se de um estudo de natureza exploratória, sob abordagem qualitativa, do tipo relato de experiencia subsidiado pelo instrumento de Avaliação Familiar seguindo o Modelo Calgary o qual objetivou-se analisar uma família com relações conflituosas com base no modelo Calgary de avaliação familiar.A avaliação estrutural de acordo com o Método de Calgary refere-se aos aspectos estruturais da família, integrando três estruturas: interna, externa e contexto.As etapas do Ciclo de Vida familiar são permeadas por crises, que podem ser previsíveis ou imprevisíveis.O resultado do APGAR familiar da pessoa índice é severamente disfuncional, demonstrando pouca articulação entre ela e o marido para uma boa convivência familiar embasada no diálogo e compreensão.Conclui-se que a equipe de saúde deve sempre buscar o caminho para cuidar do indivíduo e da família de forma humanizada, e culturalmente adequada às necessidades apresentadas.Nesse sentido, o Modelo Calgary de Famílias pode contribuir para criar meios para os profissionais de saúde desenvolverem uma assistência integral, na perspectiva da abordagem do indivíduo, no seu contexto de vida familiar e comunitária, na busca de solução para os problemas encontrados.
