Abstract
O feminismo, enquanto movimento essencialmente revolucionário, busca desestabilizar sistemas de opressão, uma tarefa árdua, porém poderosa.A prática feminista demonstra a possibilidade de libertação das diversas amarras sociais, sejam elas de gênero, raça ou classe.Considerando o processo histórico e a dinâmica das relações identitárias no contexto americano, a concepção de "amefricanidade", introduzida por Lélia Gonzalez (1988), ganha destaque neste dossiê.Os estudos aqui apresentados, vinculados à pesquisa, à extensão e ao ensino, exploram a literatura de mulheres afro-latino-americanas, proporcionando uma reflexão aprofundada sobre essa temática.Abrimos esta seção com um texto dedicado à guianense Grace Nichols, cujo trabalho é ainda pouco reconhecido nos estudos de autoria feminina no contexto amefricano.
