No Canadian affiliation. An affiliation-only frame, the usual design, would never have seen this work. It is one of the works that make the case for inverting the frame.

Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Generalized nonlinear programming is considered without any convexity assumption, capturing a variety of problems that include nonsmooth objectives, combinatorial structures, and set-membership nonlinear constraints. We extend the augmented Lagrangian framework to this broad problem class, preserving an implicit formulation and introducing auxiliary variables merely as a formal device. This, however, gives rise to a generalized augmented Lagrangian function that lacks regularity.Based on parametric optimization, we develop a tailored stationarity concept to better qualify the iterates, generated as approximate solutions to a sequence of subproblems.Using this variational characterization and the lifted representation, asymptotic properties and convergence guarantees are established for a safeguarded augmented Lagrangian scheme.Numerical examples showcase the modelling versatility gained by dropping convexity assumptions and the practical benefits of the advocated implicit approach.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
