Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Canadian Presbyterian missionary Dr. George Leslie Mackay arrived Tamsui, Taiwan (then Hobe, Formosa) in 1872. In 1873, Mackay established the first hospital of Western medicine in northern Taiwan, the Hobe Hospital, in a rented house. In 1879, using donations Dr. Mackay established a new hospital, the **Hobe Mackay Hospital**. During the Sino-French War in 1884, lots of wounded solders were brought here for treatment. The hospital temporarily suspended service after Dr. Mackay passed away in 1901. In 1912, the 40th anniversary of Dr. Mackay arriving Taiwan, the Mackay Memorial Hospital is established in Taipei, and thus the Hobe Mackay Hospital finally ended its primary mission. Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
