Pour une entrée harmonieuse à l’éducation préscolaire et afin de soutenir la réussite éducative des enfants, l’importance de la collaboration école-famille est soulignée dans plusieurs documents officiels. Cette vision est également mise de l’avant dans plusieurs recherches. Mais qu’en est-il de cette collaboration école-famille à l’éducation préscolaire au regard du contexte particulier des familles issues de l’immigration? Pour répondre à cette question, une recherche a été menée pendant une année dans quatre classes de maternelle 4 ans à temps plein en milieu défavorisé majoritairement composées d’enfants issus de l’immigration. Cette contribution présentera des leviers et des défis décrits par des enseignantes et des ressources additionnelles de ces quatre classes de maternelle afin de favoriser une meilleure collaboration entre l’école et les familles issues de l’immigration.
