Abstract
Dünyanın pek çok ülkesinde kabul görmüş ve terapi alanında kullanılan Pozitif Psikoterapi giderek yaygınlaşmaktadır. Pozitif Psikoterapi ekolünün öncülerinden biri Martin Seligman ve Tayyap Rashid’dir. Tayyap Rashid, Toronto Scarborough Üniversitesi Sağlık ve Zindelik Merkezi’nde lisanslı bir klinik psikolog olarak Flourish isimli önleyici bir zihin sağlığı programını yönetmektedir. Rashid, Pensilvanya Üniversitesi Pozitif Psikoloji Merkezi’nde Martin Seligman’dan eğitim aldıktan sonra alandaki araştırmalarıyla tanınmıştır. Martin Seligman, Princeton Üniversitesi Felsefe Bölümünden yüksek onur derecesiyle mezun olduktan sonra Psikoloji alanında doktora yapmış, klinik eğitim programında uzun yıllar idareci olarak görev yapmıştır. Pozitif Psikoloji’nin babası olarak bilinmektedir. Pensilvanya Pozitif Psikoloji Merkezi’nin kurucusu ve idarecisidir. Pozitif Psikoloji ve Pozitif Psikoterapi alanının önemli isimleri olan Rashid ve Seligman, Pozitif Psikoterapi Terapistin El Kitabı ve Pozitif Psikoterapi Çalışma Kitabı ile yıllardır devam eden çalışmalarının ürünlerini cömertlikle paylaşmaktadırlar. Terapistin El Kitabı, ruh sağlığı uzmanları için rehberlik eden ve kolaylaştırıcı bir el kitabı olurken Çalışma Kitabı da uzmanların danışanları ile yürütecekleri uygulamalarda kullanılabilecek bir çalışma kitabı şeklinde hazırlanmıştır. Orijinal dili İngilizce olan kitaplar, ilk olarak Oxford Üniversitesi Yayınları tarafından yayımlanmıştır. Türkçesi Kaknüs Yayınları tarafından yayımlanan kitapların çevirisi uzman bir ekip tarafından yapılmıştır. Çeviri editörleri, Doç. Dr. İbrahim Demirci ve Prof. Dr. Halil Ekşi olan kitapların bölümlerinin çevirmenliğini akademisyen uzmanlar (Dr. İbrahim Demirci, Dr. Nur Akbulut Kılıçoğlu, Dr. Şeyma Güldal, Dr. Selami Kardaş, Dr. Duygu Dinçer) yapmıştır. Ülkemizde Pozitif Psikoterapi uygulamaları daha çok İranlı nörolog, psikiyatrist ve psikoterapist olan Nossrat Peseschkian’ın çalışmalarıyla bilinmektedir.
