Abstract
The data set is associated with the publication "<strong>Functional diversity and identity influence the self-thinning process in young forest communities</strong>" by Urgoiti, Messier, Keeton, Belluau, and Paquette. It provides data regarding the basal area, stand density, mortality, and quadratic mean diameter, at plot level per year from the IDENT experiment of Montreal from 2009 to 2019. Information about block, plot, and species richness is also given.
