Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This data evaulates rates of land-use change from natural to non-natural landcover classes (and vice versa) for 1200km2 hexbins in southern Canada. <br> The purpose of this data is to evaluate the potential additionality of protecting ecosystem carbon in southern Canada (agricultural region of Canada). This approach serves as a coarse filter for assessing additionality by applying the rate of landcover change within a defined area to the amount of carbon currently stored within the area. If the area were to be protected, the additional benefit can be calculated using both this dataset and our National Carbon Stocks dataset. <br> Rates of landcover change were calculated using data from the Earth Observation Team of the Science and Technology Branch at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada at a 30m resolution. The timeframe spans 2011-2020 inclusive (10 years).

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
