Abstract
Les couples âgés font face à de nombreux défis liés aux changements provoqués par le vieillissement. Ces changements affectent notamment l’identité individuelle mais la littérature explore peu l’impact de ces changements sur l’identité du couple âgé. Or, les personnes âgées, et en particulier les couples qu’elles composent, sont moins propices à avoir recours à des services psychologiques professionnels. L’article explore le concept de l’identité conjugale des aînés dans la littérature ; il en ressort qu’un soutien de l’identité conjugale des couples vieillissants pourrait être une piste intéressante à explorer dans les interventions qui leur sont adressées.
