Cet article analyse le rôle de la gouvernance entre les investissements directs étrangers et l’état de santé des populations mesuré par le taux de mortalité infanto-juvénile et l’espérance de vie en Afrique Sub-saharienne. Un modèle de panel dynamique a été utilisé pour un échantillon de 44 pays de cette région de 2002 à 2019. La méthode des moments généralisée a été utilisée et les résultats montrent que les investissements directs étrangers améliorent significativement l’état de santé et augmentent l’espérance de vie, surtout avec meilleure gouvernance. Les gouvernants doivent adopter des stratégies pour améliorer la gouvernance afin d’attirer davantage ces investissements.
