Abstract
Introduo: A dengue clssica ou febril (DF) uma doena epidmica ou endmica, caracterizada por cefalia, febre alta e mialgia que associa-se a quatro sorotipos de RNA transmitido pelo mosquito do gnero Aedes. Essa enfermidade, representa uma preocupao significativa de sade pblica em muitas regies tropicais e subtropicais. Objetivo: Analisar a mortalidade por dengue clssica no Brasil em idosos no perodo de dezembro de 2020 a dezembro de 2023. Metodologia: Estudo ecolgico, transversal, descritivo de abordagem quantitativa, realizado em fevereiro de 2024, com dados coletados do Sistema de Informaes Hospitalares do SUS (SIH/SUS), disponibilizados no Departamento de Informtica do Sistema nico de Sade (DATASUS). Utilizou-se as variveis: internaes, valor total dos servios hospitalares, bitos e taxa de mortalidade segundo regio.
