Ce rapport du Centre international pour la prévention de la criminalité, mandaté par la Ville de Montréal dans le cadre des activités du Laboratoire en sécurité urbaine (LabSU), présente un aperçu général de la sécurité urbaine sur la violence commise et subie chez les jeunes dans l’ensemble du territoire de l’Île de Montréal. Le premier chapitre présente une carte de la défavorisation multiple sur l’Île de Montréal et développe une analyse en termesd’évènements impliquant des jeunes signalés à la police, et des crimes contre la personne commis et subis par lespersonnes âgées de moins de 25 ans entre 2015 et 2019. Le deuxième chapitre analyse la violence commise et subie chez les jeunes selon quatre espaces de vie, à savoir l’espace privé, le milieu scolaire, les espaces publics intérieurs et les espaces publics extérieurs. Le troisième chapitre présente quatre vignettes correspondant à quatre arrondissements : Montréal-Nord, Rivièredes-Prairies-Pointe-aux-Trembles, Saint-Léonard et Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension.
