Abstract
This study deals with the formation of the image of Rudolph II and perceptions of him in the course of communication between the Mantuan envoys and the emperor and his council during the legal dispute with Vincenzo Gonzaga I, Duke of Mantua, over the imperial fief of Novellara in 1588 and 1591. The Mantuan envoys and court officials played a fundamental role in the process of creating and receiving the image. The author examines how the Mantuan ambassadors described Rudolph II and his court officials differently when Vincenzo Gonzaga I fell out of favour with the emperor and was pardoned within a relatively short time.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
