The brilliance and durability of diamonds have long stimulated human interest. Recent developments in nanotechnology have sparked interest in the investigation ofnanodiamonds, a fascinating subset of diamonds. Nanodiamonds are diamondparticles that are smaller than a nanometer and have special qualities that set themapart from their larger counterparts. Nanodiamonds are an excellent and attractivematerial that have appeared in the huge field of nanotechnology. Nanodiamonds, atthe crossroads of nanoscience, have attracted the interest of scientists, researchers,and engineers alike. These diamond particles have special qualities that open a widerange of fascinating applications in a variety of fields. This chapter seeks to present athorough and in-depth review of the synthesis, characteristics, and various uses ofnanodiamonds.
