Abstract
La figure d'Ulysse est souvent présente dans la littérature moderne et contemporaine. À partir d'un bref panorama historique sur la constitution de l'espace littéraire mondial, nous essayons de comprendre la présence d'Ulysse dans trois grandes œuvres de la littérature décoloniale produite dans le « Nouveau Monde » : celles d'Aimé Césaire (1913–2008), de Haroldo de Campos (1929–2003) et de Derek Walcott (1930–2017). Au-delà des spécificités linguistiques et culturelles, notre hypothèse est que la figure d'Ulysse, incarnant la tradition classique (gréco-romaine), joue un rôle fondamental – quoique paradoxal – dans le projet littéraire décolonial de l’écrivain martiniquais (francophone), aussi bien que dans celui du Brésilien (lusophone) et du Saint-Lucien (anglophone).
